Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Absolutely! Your data is saved only on your device and, if you enable sync, in your personal iCloud account. We have no servers, we don't collect data, and we cannot access your information in any way.
If you have iCloud enabled on your device and have enabled sync for Countdown, your data will automatically sync between all your Apple devices connected to the same Apple ID. You can manage this setting in:
Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Countdown
To add a Countdown widget:
- Long press on an empty area of the Home Screen
- Tap the + button in the top left
- Search for "Countdown" in the widget list
- Choose your preferred widget size
- Tap Add Widget
You can also customize the widget by long pressing on it and selecting Edit Widget.
To delete local data:
- Uninstall the app from your device
To also delete iCloud data:
- Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
- Find Countdown and tap Delete Data
When you create or edit an event, you can configure custom reminders. The app allows you to set notifications at different intervals before the event (e.g., 1 day before, 1 week before, etc.).
Make sure you have authorized notifications when prompted by the app. You can check in:
Settings → Notifications → Countdown
Yes! Countdown works completely offline. You don't need an Internet connection to create events, view countdowns, or receive notifications. The only feature that requires a connection is iCloud sync, which happens automatically when you're online.
Yes! You can create countdowns for recurring events like birthdays and anniversaries. The app will automatically calculate the countdown to the next occurrence of the event.
